Hi all - we've been checking in here and in the comments and understandably there are questions about how the game is going. Initially we were infrequent in our updates, as we thought people didn't want to hear "Still working on getting the game produced, not much to report". Some said they'd actually be OK with that, so we start updating as such, but then others confirmed they didn't want updates without something interesting to cover. So, it's a bit of a damned if we do, damned if we don't situation, all the while trying to chew the challenge we bit off for ourselves. The solution? Well, we're going to try and talk you through how the process is going. Some specifics we'll be able to get into. Others will be about things that aren't actually contributing to the delay, but are worth noting as part of our N00b manufacturer status.
Most of you have been very patient. Or very impatient, but quiet. We appreciate it either way. And a few of you have been impatient and firm in the comments and we appreciate that as well. And some are mad - and we double appreciate that. This is not where we wanted to be either - a year ago we thought "how hard can it be?" about a number of things and we found out the hard way. But, it's also been really exciting working through it. The downside is knowing you are all waiting. So, we're going as fast as we can.
Someone in the comments suggested that maybe there were a few things we could do, some simple gestures of thanks - the main one being keys to our non-board games, particularly the one being worked on right now, Pit Infinity. (yes, we made a retro roguelike, which we then turned into a board game, and now we're following it up with the 3D FPS version of it - when we have a property we enjoy, we do like to expand upon it) Not everyone who backed us plays PC games, but the keys can be shared around and they were right, it is a simple gesture to say thanks and we appreciate everyone hanging tight. So we'll be sending those out in the next few days. We have something else we might be able to do as well.
And as best we can, we'll start going through people's questions about production and talking about them in the coming days. More soon.
Here's a picture of the Lore Books we're sending out that I forgot to post last update.
